Organ Scholarship
Inverness Cathedral offers an Organ Scholarship, which offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their skills as a church musician in the Anglican choral tradition, in a safe and supportive environment.
We would be happy to consider all ages and with variable dates of tenure (ie. not necessarily framed by academic year).
The position runs for one year but is renewable, subject to satisfactory progress and efficient performance of the duties.
Choral Scholarship
There are Four Choral Scholarships of up to £1000 per year available at Inverness Cathedral for the year 2023/24.
Singers of all voice types are invited to apply and will enhance the choir of existing volunteers in our weekly Sunday Choral/Sung Eucharist or Choral Evensong services.
Applicants are expected to have some choral experience, some sight-singing ability, musical potential, time-management skills and above all an enthusiasm for singing and willingness to learn.
These posts would suit students based in Inverness, who may be working towards applying for university choral scholarships or considering pursuing a professional singing career, as well as young professionals who more generally wish to develop their choral singing ability.
Opportunities for solo singing, conducting and organ playing can also be made available.
