As the situation and guidelines are updated on an almost hourly basis at this time, it is with a heavy heart that on the advice from the College of Bishops all public services are suspended. The full guidance can be accessed here: https://www.scotland.anglican.org/coronavirus-updates/
This will be the first time for 150 years that we have not been able to offer public worship, and that included 2 World Wars. However, we will still be offering prayer in the Cathedral. Morning Prayer will be said privately by the cathedral clergy and then at 1730 each evening Evening Prayer will be offered and a celebration of Holy Communion will take place. Please do join us at 1730 from the comfort of your home to join with us in prayer. If you wish to use the daily office it can be found at: https://www.scotland.anglican.org/spiritua…/…/daily-offices/
We are endeavouring to bring you a Service on Sunday and we shall be in the Cathedral to offer Holy Communion at 10.30am on each Sunday of the cessation of services in the church.
At the moment the Cathedral will remain open outside of service times for private prayer, to enable those who wish to light a candle and to come in to find some space of calm and peace.
Do keep checking on our website: www.invernesscathedral.org and on our Social Media for regular updates and prayers.
